Malik (flute and tabla) and Rishi (tabla and percussion) are currently the resident duo at the acclaimed G Hotel in Penang.

Malik studied music in India under Ustad Niya Quat Khan and Pandit Delhi Babu, and since moving to Malaysia 16 years ago has carved himself a hugely successful career.

As Tabla Cadabra Duo, he and Rishi have performed at the World Trade Center in Brunei (in a private concert for the Sultan of Brunei), at the Rhythm of Asia music festival, at the opening ceremony of Kuala Lumpur Central Station and at the jazz festival in Havanti.

Together with the Green Room Session, Tabla Cadabra Duo also toured whole of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Describing their sound as "fusion music improvised on the spot", the pair's beautiful, hypnotic music has to be heard to be believed - a chilled-out combination of classical Indian music fused with jazz and pop, which adds a wonderful ambience to any event or venue.
